Job description
North Jones Animal Hospital is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for a passionate and driven veterinarian to help lead the transformation. Our established general practice is being remodeled and reimagined into a modern, high-quality urgent care clinic, and we’re seeking a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced, case-diverse environment and wants to be part of building something special from the ground up.

This is a unique chance to join a trusted community hospital as it evolves into a dedicated urgent care facility. You’ll play a key role in shaping medical protocols, workflow, and culture while providing timely, compassionate care for non-life‑threatening urgent cases. What You’ll Do
Provide urgent care services including diagnostics, treatment, and minor procedures
Triage incoming cases and collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations
Contribute to the development of protocols and standards as we grow into a full urgent care model
Help foster a positive, team-oriented environment during this exciting transition

Job Description
What We’re Looking For
DVM or equivalent degree with eligibility for Mississippi licensure
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with confidence in urgent care or general practice medicine
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for building something new
Interest in helping shape the future of a growing urgent care practice
Qualifications
Full Time OR Part Time Veterinarian
Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
Proficient in general medicine and surgeryDoctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
