Position Overview We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to provide per diem Prompt Care coverage in Chico, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking flexible scheduling in a busy, collaborative outpatient urgent-care setting.Position Highlights Per diem coverage: 4-6 shifts per monthEight-hour shifts; weekend availability is requiredAverage clinic volume of approximately 120 patients per dayCompetitive compensation: $160 per hour, plus productivity incentiveMalpractice coverage providedResponsibilities Evaluate, treat, and triage patients requiring urgent or higher-level carePerform minor procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, foreign-body removal, splinting, treatment of sprains, minor burns, and fracturesCommunicate clearly with patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up careCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team caring for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patientsQualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine; other relevant specialties may be consideredActive California medical license or eligibility for California licensureACLS certification requiredPALS certification preferredLifestyle and Community 300 days of sunshine annuallyOutdoor amenities: Bidwell Park (3,600+ acres), hiking, biking, horseback ridingThriving downtown: local restaurants, boutiques, concerts, farmers marketsTop-rated schools: public, charter, and private optionsEasy access to Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, Mt.
