Job description
We are adding a Urologist to the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.
Responsibilities
Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience
Examining, diagnosing, and treating patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Using specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
Performing abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
Treating lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Board certified/eligible Urologist who completed an ACGME urology residency
Must possess a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of New York
New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
Wages and Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $165,950* based on a 20-hour work week.
Estimated compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
401(k) employee contribution account (subject to IRS limits); employees are immediately vested in their contributions.
Medical malpractice coverage at no cost to the employee.
Eligible for High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
