Neurology Physician Locum Tenens Job in Altoona, Pennsylvania Outpatient neurology locum tenens opportunity in Altoona, PA with weekday hours, no call, and a collaborative clinic team. Join a well-established outpatient neurology practice serving general neurology patients in central Pennsylvania. This physician job offers a consistent daytime schedule, strong clinic support, and the chance to provide meaningful patient care in a patient-centered ambulatory setting.
Job Details Position: Neurologist / Neurology Physician, Locum Tenens Location: Altoona, PA 16601 Setting: Outpatient neurology clinic Schedule: Weekday daylight clinic hours; choose either 4 ten-hour days (Monday-Thursday) or 5 eight-hour days (Monday-Friday) Coverage Need: Full-time coverage for approximately 3 months Assignment Length: Approximately 14 weeks / 95 days Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,870 - $8,430 Start Date: 11/2/2026 End Date: 2/5/2027 Availability Needed: Minimum of 2 weeks per month Call: None Job Requirements Board-eligible or board-certified in Neurology MD or DO degree At least 1 year of experience in general neurology or outpatient neurology practice Ability to manage a full outpatient clinic schedule with new and established patients Comfortable working weekday office hours in an ambulatory care setting Must be able to cover at least 2 weeks per month Responsibilities Provide outpatient neurology care for general neurology conditions See approximately 15 patients per 8-hour clinic day, or 19-24 patients per 10-hour clinic day Manage a mix of new and established patients, with a primary focus on return visits Handle medication refills and respond to patient questions through clinic support workflows Collaborate with support staff and APPs, who maintain their own independent schedule Deliver high-quality, efficient care in a busy, patient-centered outpatient clinic Why Consider This Neurology Locum Tenens Job?
