Locum Urology Opportunity South Carolina We are seeking a Urologist for inpatient locum coverage at a busy Level II Trauma Center in South Carolina.
Position Details Setting: Inpatient Uro-Hospitalist coverage
EMR: EPIC
Facility: Level II Trauma Center with nearly 600 beds
Qualifications BC or BE in Urology
Active South Carolina medical license
Must be comfortable practicing as the sole Urologist on site
Assignment Responsibilities This is a true inpatient Uro-Hospitalist role, with responsibilities including:
24-hour call and inpatient rounding
Responding to consults
Managing urgent and emergent cases from the ED
Performing operative procedures as needed
Managing a busy, fast-paced clinical environment
Required Clinical Experience Candidates must be comfortable managing a broad range of urologic conditions and procedures, including:
Open trauma cases: Stab wounds and gunshot wounds involving the kidneys or testicles, bladder repair, and similar urologic trauma
Stone management and stent placement
Catheterization and cystoscopy
Testicular torsion, including pediatric cases
Incidental appendectomy
Adrenal surgery
Hernia repair
Endourology procedures
Hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy
Other standard inpatient urologic procedures
