Job Description
Job Title: Urologist
Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $370 - $398/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Provide general urology care in a clinic and OR setting with an 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday schedule (1-hour lunch break)
• See a minimum of 14 patients per day, with new patient visits up to 30 minutes and 15-minute post-operative appointments
• Perform and assist with special procedures including ureteroscopies
• Conduct hospital rounding, consults, and OR cases during daytime hospital call coverage as needed
• Occasionally add clinic patients when covering daytime hospital call
• Collaborate with a support team consisting of 3 Medical Assistants, 1 LPN, a surgical scheduler, 3 front office staff, and a practice manager
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation; prior EPIC experience in a clinic setting is required
• Work within a urology office environment that includes 9 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms
• Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Urology
• Hold and maintain an active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of urology experience (new graduates may be considered)
• Adhere to all credentialing, privileging, and compliance requirements, with full compliance due 2 weeks prior to start
