Job Details Specialty: Neurology Position Type: Locum tenens physician job Location: Petoskey, Michigan Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: November 1, 2026 End Date: January 31, 2027 Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,840 - $8,110 Schedule: 8-hour days Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Call Coverage: After-hours call and 24-hour weekend call Patient Volume: Approximately 6-8 patients per day EMR: Cerner Setting: Inpatient and outpatient neurology coverage Job Requirements Board Certified in Neurology required Active Michigan medical license required Active DEA required BLS and ACLS certifications required At least 1 year of neurology experience required NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred Ability to provide local coverage without air travel Clean malpractice history preferred, with details provided at submission Self-query NPDB completed within the last month required Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neurology coverage for inpatient and outpatient needs See patients in the clinic during scheduled daytime hours Cover inpatient neurology call after hours and on weekends Perform EEG reads for both inpatient and outpatient cases as needed Interpret radiologic exams related to neurological care Perform lumbar punctures, brain death examinations, and evoked potential evaluations as needed Deliver timely, patient-focused neurologic assessments and treatment recommendations Collaborate with the care team to support smooth coverage and continuity of care Apply now to explore this rewarding locum tenens Neurology Physician job in Petoskey, Michigan, and enjoy a balanced schedule in a highly desirable northern Michigan location.
