Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This position is embedded within a well-supported healthcare system known for its dedication to comprehensive patient care. As a Neurologist, you will handle a range of cases that include radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture, EEG, brain death examination, and evoked potentials. With an average patient load of 6-8 individuals per day, you will have the opportunity to engage deeply with each case, supported by a state-of-the-art EMR system (Cerner) to streamline patient documentation and care.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The role features regular clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional outpatient clinic coverage on select afternoons (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). The position requires 24-hour inpatient call coverage, including weekends, which begins and ends at 8:00 AM. This schedule offers the opportunity to develop a consistent routine while experiencing a variety of clinical challenges.

Qualifications
Board Certification in Neurology is required; Board Eligibility will not be accepted.
An active Michigan medical license and DEA certification are mandatory.
Strong preference for candidates who are local to the region, as the role does not accommodate flights.
BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred, with additional competencies in NIH Stroke Scale/tPA considered advantageous.
A clean malpractice record and recent Self-Query NPDB are required for consideration.
