Schedule: Monday Thursday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (3 4 half-day clinics/week)

Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Patient Volume: patients per day in office; 4 8 procedures per day in hospital
Support Staff: 2 NPs, 3 MOAs, 6 Clinical Staff, 1 Surgery Scheduler, and 1 UDS Technician
EMR: MediTech
Board Certification: Board Certified in Urology Required
License Requirement: Active Ohio Medical License or active IMLC required
Certifications / Compliance: Active ACLS and BLS required

Call Type: Beeper call
Scope: Covers both inpatient and outpatient care
Response Time: Must respond within 30 minutes
Position Overview:
A hospital system in Portsmouth, Ohio is seeking a Board Certified Urologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting November 2, 2026. The position involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient urological care, including office clinic, minor office procedures, hospital rounding, and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient clinical care Monday through Thursday (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) seeing patients per day.
Perform office-based procedures including vasectomies, TRUS/prostate biopsies, cystoscopies with stent removal, and prostate ultrasounds.
Perform 4 8 hospital procedures per day, including advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopy, PCNL/percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, aquablation, TURP, green light laser, and incontinence procedures.
Provide supervision for Advanced Practice Providers (2 NPs) and participating resident/teaching staff as needed.
