Job Description
Job Title: Urologist
Location: Potsdam, New York
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $371 - $399/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in Potsdam, New York. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Must be Board Certified in the US
• Provide full-time coverage preferred due to current staffing gaps; will accept two providers sharing coverage (e.g., 2 weeks/month each)
• Conduct primarily outpatient visits with inpatient consults, procedures, and post-op rounding as needed
• Perform a mix of patient contact, procedures, rounding, and consults
• Follow clinic hours Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM; typical schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• See approximately 20 patients per provider per day
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) as arranged based on days willing to take per month
• Perform bread and butter cases and procedures in a Level III Trauma Center setting
• Utilize OR block time (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM) with no case limit
• Treat adult patients only (18+)
• Work within a 4-exam-room outpatient practice environment
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain valid NY License in Hand prior to start
• Demonstrate Epic charting experience (required)
• Ensure CV reflects up-to-date work history with no gaps of 30+ days
• Provide a physician statement if any malpractice history exists, dismissed or otherwise
• Remain within a 20-minute radius of the facility while on call
