Job description
Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is accepting CVs from interested Urologists seeking a hospitalist opportunity in one of the fastest growing communities on the West Coast of Florida. First Physicians Group, the employed medical group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care system, formed in 1994 continues to be one of the best and strongest providers of primary and specialty care in the region.
Located in the beach town of Venice, this position offers an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing group of five physician partners and five Advanced Practice Providers in a familial work environment for both providers and staff.
Position Highlights:
7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off with night call responsibility Friday through Sunday only.
Provide hospital coverage at one community hospital.
Advanced Practice Providers scheduled as first call support 24/7.
Responsible for hospital-based care of Urology patients; zero clinic responsibilities.
Consult service only; medicine hospitalists admit from ER.
Consult volumes average 7-10/day with 3-4 procedures/day.
Urology is the largest surgical service by case volume in the hospital.

Required Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
Completion of an ACGME accredited Urology residency program.
Active or eligible for a Florida medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
