Job Duration: Holiday Call Coverage

Number of Providers Needed: 1

Practice Setting: Inpatient / Acute Care Hospital (16 total ORs)

Patient Population: Adult (18+), except for rare emergency testicular torsion cases presenting during call

Support Staff: APP supervision required (new APPs on staff); 4 MAs, 1 CSA, 1 RN in clinic setup

EMR: Epic

Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology required

License Requirement: Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC LOQ in hand required

Certifications / Compliance: Active DEA required; minimum 1 year of clinical experience required

Position Overview:

An acute care hospital system in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist for 24-hour holiday call coverage from December 23, 2026 (5:00 PM) through December 25, 2026 (7:00 AM). The role involves inpatient call coverage, emergency surgical interventions, consults, and APP supervision. Temporary privileges are available for clean credentialing files.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 24-hour holiday call coverage for hospital inpatient and emergency urology needs.

Perform core inpatient and emergency urologic procedures as needed (cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, prostate procedures, and emergency orchiopexy).

Provide clinical supervision for newly hired Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Treat adult patients (18+), with potential emergency pediatric coverage for testicular torsion during call.

Utilize Epic EMR for clinical charting, order entry, and daily documentation.
