A leading medical center in York, PA is seeking a dedicated Urologist for a locum tenens assignment. Join a high-trauma level hospital offering comprehensive urology services, including robotic surgery with support from a skilled team. The position involves 24-hour call coverage, with multiple start dates available in July and September, making it perfect for a flexible schedule with an options for temporary lodging.
Key Details - Assignment Type : Locum Tenens- Setting : Hospital- Start Date : July 13th (or 20th) - September 21st (7 AM) to 27th (7 AM)- Schedule : 24-hour call- Patient Population : Adult (18+), occasional emergency torsion cases- Location : York, PA- Stipends : Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities - Provide coverage and handle urological emergencies and surgeries- Participate in rounds and manage inpatient consultations- Perform core procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate and ureteroscopy procedures- Oversee and provide direction for NP/PA new staff members- Collaborate with a support team of MAs, CSA, RN, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology- Active PA License or IMLC LOQ required- DEA certification required- At least 1 year of urology experience, new grads considered
Working Hours - 24-hour call coverage from July 13th to 17th or 20th, and September 21st to 27th- Involves callbacks ranging from 2-6 hours per day
Skills - Proficiency in robotic surgery and various urological procedures- Experience in using EPIC EMR system- Strong communication and supervisory skills for working with support staff- Ability to manage and perform under pressure in a high-trauma setting
