Our supportive and collaborative environment encourages bold ambitions and continuous learning so that everyone can grow and thrive.This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Job Title – Utilities Maintenance TechnicianPosition Summary: Multi-skilled individual conducts a variety of utilities operations and maintenance activities following the maintenance work process to optimize utility equipment operations and provide ongoing preventive maintenance and improvement support to a pre-determined maintenance plan, while ensuring the continuous supply of quality services needed to produce ready to drink Beverage products.Shift: Day shift. 6:00am-6:30pm Schedule: 2/2/3Primary Responsibilities:Starts, stops, operates, monitors, and maintains all utilities and operational support systemsPlans & completes all preventive and corrective maintenance of all facility and office equipment to include but not limited to the following: Boiler water treatment, Boiler steam and condensate systems, Ammonia refrigeration system (chillers, rooftop units, cooling towers, air handling units, etc.)Maintain low-pressure and high-pressure air compression systems including air dryersMonitor and coordinate cooling tower water treatment and component repairsMaintain reverse osmosis (RO) system and componentsMaintain silo tank offload systemsMonitor and control all wastewater recycling center equipment to control wastewater dischargeCoordinate plan fire protection systems including sprinkler system, fire pump and alarmsCoordinate maintenance and chemical treatment of cooling towersCoordination, monitoring, and administration of energy management systemsAbility to manage work ordersAssists in establishing daily checklists and preventive / predictive maintenance programs for utility equipmentIdentifies utility equipment problems and improvement opportunities and communicates to appropriate personnelProvides improvement project support as neededMaintain power distribution systemControl systems – Basic Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) input/output hardware troubleshooting, motor, sensor, drives and basic electrical circuits, basic understanding of device communication networksMechanical system – hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systemsTroubleshooting and problem-solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment, with key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost.Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment. Use, validate, and redline engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical)Required Skills and Abilities:Mechanical Skills: Hydraulic Pneumatic Mechanical drive systems Utility Systems (air, steam, refrigeration etc.)Electrical Skills: Knowledge and ability to interpret National Electrical Code Power Systems and Distribution Control Systems Basic PLC / hardwire logic circuits knowledge Motor Control Circuits Safety Circuits Instrumentation and Field Devices Analog and discrete devices Knowledge and use of test equipment (amp meter, megger, etc.)Other Skills: Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Production Workflow/Control systems Principle of operation Read and interpret machine, electrical and facility drawings Operate, troubleshoot, and diagnose industrial systems Other Technical Skills (as required): Welding, fabrication and machining skills May require internal & external certification such as sanitary welding, vibration, thermography, etc.Education and Requirements:High school diploma or GED required2 years of equivalent work experience in maintenance related area such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or Electronics and/or two-year technical degree preferredAt least one year experience in Utilities operations (boilers, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration); food industry experience preferredCertification as licensed Boiler Operator preferredCertification as licensed Wastewater Operator preferredCertification as Ammonia Refrigeration Technician preferredThis position has been identified as safety sensitiveWorking Environment:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitaskingMay be exposed to loud and distracting noise levelsUsually working indoors however may be subject to extreme heat/cold temperatures. Comfort with exposure to moving mechanical parts and automated equipmentWhen required, must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practicesAbility to understand hazards of chemicals and materials and safely handle themPhysical Requirements:Standing/walking for long periods of timeDuties require standing, walking, hand dexterity, good sense of balance (climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling). Good ear, nose, sense of feeling and far vision to evaluate equipment being repaired. Able to lift/push/pull max 50 lbs. (if exceeds 50 lbs., use teamwork and proper equipment)Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptionFrequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipmentIt is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
