Job description

Boiler Engineer Opportunity At Cumberland DairyCumberland Dairy has immediate job openings for a skilled Boiler Engineer responsible in ensuring the plant boilers, chiller systems, air compressors, wastewater, and other utility systems run efficiently by decreasing downtime due to mechanical challenges. This operator will assist with the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery used for production.Cumberland Dairy is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. It takes an incredible team to deliver the goodness of dairy and enrich our communities – come join us!Our operators for this position start at an hourly rate of:Starting at $34 - $36 /hour – based on skillset level and experienceSchedule: 2-2-3 based rotating turn schedule (12-hour shifts)Night Shift 6pm-6:30amBenefits:401(k) with company contributionCompetitive payPaid vacation and holidaysCareer growth opportunities – we promote from within!Comprehensive healthcare benefitsService recognition and employee appreciation eventsEmployee referral programTuition reimbursementUniforms providedWork for dairy farm familiesRequirements:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred4 years of maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentValid Black Seal Operators License for operation of the boilers required and (would prefer or be working towards) NJ Blue Seal Operators License for boiler and operation of refrigeration installed in the plant in accordance with the laws of the state of NJKnowledge of and ability to read charts, blueprints, tables, and schematicsAble to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down timeAble to use a variety of maintenance tools, hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in a safe mannerAble to perform maintenance activities/repairs independently and assist on more complicated repairsAble to perform minor to mid-sized projects from planning to installationKnowledge of OSHA and EPA standards and requirementsKnowledge of plant operations (or business function specific to the job description)Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations regarding waste, air, wastewater, land application, and storm waterSkill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standardsSkill in developing safety procedures and protocolsSkill in analytical thinking and problem solvingAble to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activitiesAble to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance proceduresMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishAn Equal Opportunity Employer
