Meter Reader$19/hrMonday - Friday, 7:00 to 4:00 pm potential for OTCompany Cell Phone ProvidedCompany CarGas cardPaid TrainingMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401k with company matchVoluntary Short/Long Term DisabilityLife Insurance9 Paid HolidaysAccrued Vacation TimeSick Time$750 Referral Bonus Program$150 Annual Boot Voucher$150 Annual Rx Safety Eyewear VoucherPosition Summary:This is a full-time, entry level position conducting meter readings of gas and electric meters throughout the Central Hudson NYS territory.Essential Job Functions:Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption metersInspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connectionsPolite and professional interactions with the public and clientsMust have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.Position Qualifications:Previous experience working outsideAbility to walk between 1 to 5 miles each dayEnjoy working outdoors in various types of weather and terrain such as wooded, urban and rural areas.Valid Driver's License and good driving recordAbility to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required.
