Utility OperatorUtility Operator Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. The Company offers a wide range of critical components and engineered solutions that connect, protect, and purify our world.The Utility Operator is responsible for successful operation of the finishing production of the parts on the production floor. Primary Responsibilities:Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.Cleans parts using a variety of techniques required to meet customer specificationsDeburrs, polishes and identify partsMount parts on revolving spindle or chuck and hold or move tools such as a file, abrasive stone or cloth against work pieceUse drill presses, notchers and sandersClean interior surfaces of holes in tubesDevelop, monitor, and maintain input reports, production reportsCheck quality at start of shift and ensure quality of all products throughout shift. Must be able to use measuring tools to meet specificationsAbility to read basic blueprintsPackage product and assemble kits for shippingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Attention to detail; Willingness to learn; Team oriented; Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; Communication skills.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredUp to six months related experience or a combination of education and experience.Manufacturing experience preferredBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job the employee must: Be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds; Regularly required to use hands and stand for longs periods of time.The hourly rate for this position is $18.72 per hour.At Mativ, our benefits reflect how much we value and care for each other.
