We are the world's largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.Enviva is looking for a Utility Operator that is responsible for all aspects of continuous operation of the plant including safety, equipment operation, monitoring, machine set up, and cleaning.ResponsibilitiesOperate mobile equipment to include skid steer, forklift, lull, and front-end loadersInspect equipment dailyPerform basic maintenance to keep equipment in clean, good working orderResponsible for other duties assigned for the jobSupport and carry out activities with routine inspections and maintenance of the dryer, furnace, emissions, and environmental equipmentPerform daily preventative maintenance equipment and standard work cleaning activities of emissions equipment strainers, tooling changes, housekeeping, and wash downsQualificationsKnowledgeable and experienced with heavy equipment operationA quick learner, ability to work with little to no supervisionSafely and efficiently performs all essential functions of the jobAbility to understand and follow written and verbal job instructionsAbility to operate the machine in a timely and safe mannerPreferred Qualifications - What Sets You ApartHigh school diploma or GEDSuperior cognitive and systems knowledge to achieve production goalsProficient in mathematics and measurementProficiency in maintaining the proper paperworkWorking conditionsMust be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degreesWilling and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environmentWilling and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipmentAbility to work 12 hour rotating shift schedulePhysical requirementsWilling and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a dayWilling and able to work around moving equipment and machineryWilling and able to pull and lift, up to 50 lbs.Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Other compensation: performance bonus, equity, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.Benefits:Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceEducation reimbursement401(k)HSA employer contributionsPaid time off.12 Paid holidays.Parental leaveThe final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.Salary Range $19.09 —$19.70 USDThis position is not eligible for visa support.EEO StatementEnviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
