Job description
Facility CleanerResponsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Cleaning of the inside of the facility including the clean up of oil and water spills, maintaining the outside grounds (ALL SEASONS), empty trash and plastic bins, maintaining the garage boxes and pallets. Replacing oil in machinesMajor Duties: Performing multiple walk-throughs in the assigned buildings for your shift for oil/water leaks Laying down drop cloths (oil pads) on oil spills to prevent slips and falls. Filling machines with oil when needed (this will be performed at the beginning of every shift) and as needed. Clean the purge from machines for mechanics Emptying of trash and plastic garbage bins Minor Duties Wiping and cleaning of machines when needed Filling stations up with the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for the day Assist Mechanics and Production Supervisors when needed for a clean-up job Mopping inside the facility Maintaining sweeping in and out of the facility Replacing of filters on units when neededQualification & Education RequirementsHigh school / Grade 10 level educationLittle to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packagingKnowledge and SkillsReading and understanding simple instructionsBasic writing/communicationSimple math (add, subtract, count, measure)Follow instructions and proceduresUse common sense in routine situationsPay attention to detailWorking Environment and Physical RequirementsVery similar across all:Standing for long periodsUsing hands for repetitive tasksLight to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)Walking, reaching, handling objectsClose vision requiredManufacturing/production settingExposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)Fast-paced, production-driven environmentEqual Opportunity EmployerPretium Packaging is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
