Utility PersonGeneral Shale Brick, a leading brand of General Shale, Inc., is seeking a Utility Person to join our manufacturing facility in Stanton, Kentucky. This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to safety and teamwork.The Utility Person is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe plant environment while supporting production and maintenance teams. This role includes performing housekeeping tasks, assisting with equipment upkeep, and supporting daily plant operations.Key responsibilities include:Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all plant departments, including Grinding and general production areasRemove scrap from belts, empty bins, and clean dust collectors in the Making DepartmentAssist kiln car operators with repair and rebuild tasks as neededSupport snow and ice removal at plant entrances and exitsActively assist other crew members and work collaboratively with operatorsReport maintenance needs to Production Supervisor or Lead HandPerform preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, including cleaning and washingFollow all safety protocols and work efficiently according to company policiesContribute to achieving the company goal of Zero Harm TodayQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior brick manufacturing or industrial experience preferredStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environmentWhat we offer:Competitive payComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Paid VacationStable employment with a leading manufacturer in the masonry industrySafety-focused and team-oriented work environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
