Job description
1st Shift Utility (Production Lead)Miller's Textile Services is looking for a dependable and motivated Utility (Production Lead) to support our production team. This is a working lead position, meaning you will perform production duties while helping guide workflow and ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This is a 1st shift position working Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is interested in developing leadership skills.What will you do at work?Monitor and direct the flow of materials into and out of your designated production areaPerform production work while assisting with team coordinationEnsure employees follow company policies, safety rules, and proceduresConduct quality checks to ensure production standards are maintainedHelp assign employees to jobs to meet daily production needsCommunicate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issuesHelp ensure orders are completed accurately and shipped on timeMaintain clean and organized work areasStep in to assist the Production Supervisor when neededWhat are the minimum qualifications?Prior experience in manufacturing environmentPrior experience as a team lead or production lead preferredDesire to learn and take on leadership responsibilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to use good judgment and make decisions independentlyExcellent attendance and reliabilityAbility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to work full-time and overtime when neededPhysical requirements include standing, walking, pushing/pulling carts, lifting products repeatedly, and performing general production tasks.Why should you work for Miller's Textile Services?Competitive Pay ($18.00/hour starting pay, paid weekly!)Weekly Perfect Attendance Bonus ($2.50/hour)Paid holidays and flex time (eligible on first day!)401k with company matchCareer advancement opportunitiesAt Miller's Textile Services, our focus is on delivering exceptional experiences daily to each of our customers.
