Travel JanitorCaravan Facilities Management is seeking a dependable Travel Janitor to provide janitorial and facility support services at multiple customer locations throughout the Saginaw area, with occasional travel to sites in Bay City and Midland. This position requires flexibility to travel between assigned facilities, maintain high cleaning standards, and serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers, vendors, and site personnel.The Travel Janitor is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities while assisting with inventory management, quality audits, basic facility support tasks, and customer communication when site management is unavailable.Compensation & ScheduleStarting Wage: $18.00 per hourVehicle Stipend: Additional stipend provided for use of personal vehicleSchedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AMOvertime: Available based on business needs and employee interestEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties listed below are representative of the position and may not include all assigned responsibilities.Cleaning & Facility MaintenanceClean and sanitize offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, stairwells, and common areas.Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.Clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and other surfaces.Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and workspaces.Wash walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and trim.Polish metal fixtures and surfaces.Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.Replenish restroom and facility supplies.Replace light bulbs and report maintenance concerns.Maintain building exterior appearance as required.Perform seasonal duties including snow removal and minor groundskeeping.Site Support & Customer ServiceTravel between assigned customer locations to provide janitorial coverage and support.Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers and vendors when supervisors are unavailable.Conduct quality inspections and report service concerns.Order and monitor janitorial inventory, consumable supplies, and paper products.Coordinate vendor services and report equipment issues requiring repair.Complete safety observations and assist with site safety audits.Set up tables, chairs, and meeting spaces as requested.Move pallets, break down cardboard, and transport small equipment or materials as needed.Required QualificationsTravel RequirementsMust be willing and able to travel between multiple customer locations.Primary service area includes Saginaw, with occasional assignments in Bay City and Midland.Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.Must have a reliable personal vehicle available for daily work travel.Employment RequirementsMust be able to successfully pass:Criminal background checkFingerprinting requirementsAny customer-specific screening requirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous janitorial, custodial, cleaning, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.CompetenciesStrong customer service skillsDependability and reliabilityProfessional communicationProblem-solving abilitiesTime management and organizationAdaptability to changing priorities and locationsAttention to detail and qualitySafety awarenessAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionCommitment to attendance and punctualityWork EnvironmentThe employee regularly works in commercial and industrial environments and may be exposed to:Wet or humid conditionsMoving mechanical equipmentCleaning chemicals and cleaning agentsDust, fumes, and airborne particlesIndoor and outdoor weather conditionsCold and hot temperaturesModerate to loud noise levelsTravel between customer locations is a regular requirement of this position.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the essential functions of this role, the employee must regularly:Stand and walk for extended periodsBend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reachUse hands and arms for cleaning tasksClimb stairs and maintain balanceLift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 poundsOperate cleaning equipment and toolsEnter and exit a vehicle multiple times throughout the shiftReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Additional ResponsibilitiesOrdering supplies and managing inventory levelsConducting quality audits of assigned locationsServing as the first line of communication with onsite customersCoordinating vendor activities and service requestsReporting facility and equipment repair needsSupporting safety initiatives, audits, and observationsMaintaining professional relationships with customers and fellow employees at all assigned locationsThis position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, traveling between facilities, and taking ownership of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.4:00 pm - 12:30 am Mon - Fri
