nDay to Day
nDesign experiences that help job seekers and employers communicate clearly and confidently across the Indeed platform, with a focus on messaging, notifications, and communication touchpoints that drive understanding, trust, and action. Partner closely with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers to shape workflows, interaction patterns, and end-to-end journeys, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints while improving clarity, accessibility, and consistency across a complex ecosystem.
nResponsibilities
nnnDesign product features, flows, and interactions that support user needs and business goals
n
nnUse sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and design system patterns to explore and communicate design concepts
n
nnHelp make AI-powered and personalized experiences easier to understand through clear interaction design, thoughtful states, and attention to usability
n
nnPartner with product, engineering, research, and design collaborators throughout the design process to test and refine solutions using qual / quant user data
n
nnProvide design recommendations that help inform product tradeoffs, direction and priorities
n
nnSupport feasible delivery by working closely with engineering during design and implementation
n
nnManage and prioritize milestones across projects in a flexible, remote-first environment
n
nnContribute to team culture through critique, UX initiatives, or hiring participation
n
n nSkills/Competencies
nnnBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience
n
nnPortfolio showing a clear design process and user-centered product experience work.
n
nnProficiency with Figma, AI prototyping tools, and design systems.
n
nnExperience designing for complex product experiences - e.g. B2B products, data heavy platforms, AI-assisted, personalized, or recommendation-based features
n
nnAbility to work through ambiguity while balancing strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration
n
nnAbility to apply design methods and existing frameworks to deliver quality work in a timely manner
n
nnUnderstanding of accessibility, inclusive design, and native mobile app experience design
n

nTier 1 - United States of America 103,000 - 155,000 USD per year
nTier 2 - United States of America 115,000 - 173,000 USD per year
nTier 3 - United States of America 126,000 - 190,000 USD per year
nTier 4 - United States of America N/A
nTier 5 - United States of America 144,000 - 216,000 USD per year
nSalary Range Disclaimer
nThe salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
