Job description
UX Designer
The State of Michigan is working to transform how our community interacts with state government. As a UX Designer on the User Experience team, you will join a small group of designers responsible for the entire customer journey of high-impact projects across all of state government. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and other designers and be a voice for our users. From conducting up front user research to iterating on prototypes to shipping a final product, you’ll help drive the entire design process.
Responsibilities:
Lead product experiences by iteratively validating and refining prototypes with stakeholders and end users.
Gather insights through user research by facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups, and usability testing.
Challenge the “status quo” and propose innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Create and maintain components in our enterprise design system.
Collaborate with other designers and join in on design reviews to challenge your teammates in constructive ways.
Conduct information architecture activities and make recommendations on complex navigational structures.
