Seeking UXO Safety Officer candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (UXO Safety Officer) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Implement and enforce safety protocols in UXO operations; conduct safety training; monitor compliance.
Implement and enforce safety protocols across all UXO operations, ensuring compliance with DoD and project-specific safety standards.
Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and risk assessments for UXO personnel.
Monitor on-site activities to identify and mitigate safety hazards related to UXO operations.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and incident reports.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in UXO safety management; strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to UXO operations.
Experience in conducting safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
Familiarity with DoD safety standards, particularly DDESB TP 18.
Education / Experience Requirements
7+ years as a UXO safety officer; certifications such as UXO Technician III or IV required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in occupational safety or related fields is highly preferred.
Experience: At least 7 years of experience in UXO operations, with 3 years in a safety role.
Skills Required
Safety protocol enforcement, training delivery, hazard identification.
Strong understanding of safety management principles.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
