Valve TechnicianLake Charles, LA 70607 Start Date 11/11/2025OverviewPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionAt PPV, an MCE Company, we're growing – and we're hiring a Technician to help us grow even further!The Valve Technician is responsible for the assembly, inspection, testing, and calibration of control valves and related equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and customer requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring product reliability and performance by accurately diagnosing issues, performing precision measurements, and maintaining high quality standards.Essential dutiesLocate, use, and comprehend manufacturer installation and operation manualsPerform inspection to identify necessary corrective action as authorizedAssemble, test, and troubleshoot valves and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per manufacturer and/or customer requirementsInstall instrumentation/accessories as necessaryPerform calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with internal quality proceduresMeasure and record critical dimensions per manufacturer specificationsMay act in a leadership role for assigned areaQualificationsRequired skills/abilitiesMust have relevant experience pertaining to maintenance and service of pressure relief valves.Education & Experience: HS Education or GED Equivalent a plusSkills & Abilities (Comprehension & mechanical aptitude)Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresAbility to properly assemble and test valves/equipment of multiple relief valve manufacturersProficient use of precision dimensional equipment (i.e. dial caliper, micrometer, etc.)Ability to bend and fit tubingEffective oral & written communication skillsDemonstrated "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skillsCan work independently with minimal supervisionEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending, stooping, walking and climbing stairsRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles/ ForkliftAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedBenefits Along with competitive compensation and career advancement opportunities, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package.
