Variable Product Accountant I
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Job Description: We are looking for a junior entry level with 1-3 years work experience or a new graduate with a degree in Accounting. Must be able to work OT on a rotating monthly cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for the review of shareholder reports (including: financial statements, notes to financial statements, Schedules of Investments, Fair Value Measurements, Derivatives and other schedules for financial reporting), on a quarterly basis.
Candidate will assist with Transfer Agency functions (including fund share activity wires and outstanding share reconciliations), and updating daily unit prices for mutual funds and separate accounts.
The candidate will also be responsible for audit confirmation reconciliation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during quarterly financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong PC (Excel, Word and Access) skills.
Knowledge of accounting and reporting for investments preferred.
Research and problem-solving skills.
