Job description
Vascular Neurology Opportunity in Miami, Florida
Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), is seeking to employ a Vascular Neurologist to join its well-established program at its Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute (MNI), part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The team, which includes over two dozen physicians across eight locations, performs over 1,500 surgeries each year and offers more than 30 clinical research studies.
Qualifications
Full‑time opportunity
Board eligible/board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and fellowship‑trained in Vascular Neurology
Board certification in Vascular Neurology at time of hire preferred but can be obtained within the allotted eligibility timeline
MD/DO from an accredited institution, an active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for licensure by the start date), and satisfactory completion of all due diligence and credentialing requirements
In‑depth knowledge of managing stroke calls, stroke prevention clinic, acute inpatient stroke consultation, and collaboration with neurointerventional and ICU teams
Responsibilities
Provide acute inpatient stroke consultation and care coordination with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in the MNI Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center services, contributing to high‑volume thrombolytic care with low door‑to‑needle times
Collaborate with academic partners at Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to support residency and neurology training programs
