Job description

Vascular Surgeon - Central Kentucky

Employed or Partnership Track Opportunity with Established Independent Vascular Surgery Group

Fayette Surgical Associates PSC is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon to join our well-established, physician-led vascular surgery practice in Lexington, Kentucky.

For more than 40 years, Fayette Surgical Associates has provided comprehensive vascular care throughout Central Kentucky. Our group currently consists of five board-certified vascular surgeons with a busy referral network, robust outpatient infrastructure, advanced endovascular capabilities, and established hospital-based vascular programs.

This is an employed position with a pathway toward partnership for a surgeon who wants to practice true full-spectrum vascular surgery in a collegial, high-volume environment with long-term professional growth and stability.

Full spectrum open and endovascular practice

Advanced aortic, carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, dialysis access, and limb salvage procedures

Hybrid OR and office-based vascular surgery opportunities

Established referral base with immediate operative volume

Dedicated physician assistant support for inpatient care and operative assistance

Accredited non-invasive vascular laboratory

Opportunity to participate in growth of regional vascular programs across Central Kentucky

Strong collaboration with cardiology, wound care, podiatry, and critical care services

No general surgery responsibilities. No trauma

Partnership track available for the right candidate

Partnership Opportunity

Unlike many hospital-employed models, Fayette Surgical Associates remains an independent physician-led practice focused on long-term stability and physician autonomy.

The incoming surgeon will have the opportunity to pursue partnership within the group based on clinical performance, professionalism, and long-term commitment to the practice. Partnership provides the ability to participate in the future growth of the organization and ancillary service lines.

This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon seeking to build a lasting career in a respected regional vascular practice with meaningful input into the future direction of the group.

Strictly employed model is also available for those wanting stability of wRVU based reimbursement versus traditional collections model.

Practice Environment

Our surgeons currently provide vascular services at two regional hospitals and maintain a thriving outpatient vascular practice with integrated imaging and procedural capabilities.

The incoming surgeon will participate in a shared call rotation averaging approximately 10 nights per month with support from experienced vascular APPs and partners who value collegiality and balanced coverage.

This is an ideal opportunity for a surgeon seeking:

High clinical autonomy

Strong operative experience

Complex vascular pathology

Long-term stability in an independent physician-led group

Opportunity to focus on patient care rather than corporate metrics

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive starting salary beginning at $600,000+

Additional compensation available for extra call coverage
