The facility operates on-site and provides the clinical infrastructure necessary to support coordinated vascular surgery care across inpatient and operating room settings. Clinicians working autonomously may expect physician availability around the clock to facilitate continuity of care.
About the Facility Location Upstate New York encompasses a range of distinct regions, including the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks, the Hudson Valley, and Greater Niagara, offering diverse outdoor and cultural experiences throughout the year. Clinicians on assignment may explore natural landmarks such as Watkins Glen State Park and Niagara Falls, attend events at Highmark Stadium, or visit attractions such as the Strong Museum of Play and Storm King Art Center. The region also features wineries, hiking trails, waterways, and historic sites that reflect its varied landscapes and heritage.
About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide vascular surgery coverage across inpatient and operating room settings on a day shift basis, with call required as a component of this assignment. Responsibilities include first assisting on surgical cases for a team of five surgeons and providing floor coverage, with a service census of approximately 15-20 patients and 3-5 patients rounded on per day, alongside 7-8 OR cases daily. All clinical documentation is to be completed using the EPIC EMR system. An on-call physician is available 24/7, and the primary surgeon for each patient remains accessible throughout the coverage period.
