Job description
Conduct fundamental research on healthcare and life sciences trends to form differentiated views. Identify, assess, prosecute and structure investments across multiple healthcare subsectors and company stages (venture, growth, mature), including private and public equity. Support science/tech, business, financial, legal, negotiation and other due diligence workstreams. Prepare financial models, investment memos and decks, as well as recommend deals to the firm’s investment committee. Monitor portfolio companies to identify value creation, investment, and divestment opportunities. Develop relationships with the company’s investment partners, management teams, key opinion leaders, and other relevant institutions for origination and prosecution of new and existing investments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field of study, and 5 years of experience as Associate, Senior Associate, Associate Vice President or related jobs in an investment related role in equity investing or investment banking.
Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: a role requiring financial analysis to support investment decisions; utilizing general accounting and finance principles including profit and loss modeling and valuation analysis in the area of healthcare or life sciences sub sectors working in a midsize or large organization; research, explaining market events utilizing quantitative and analytical skills; MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint); and research resources such as Capital IQ, PitchBook and other industry publications.
Telecommuting permitted one day per week. Requires up to 15% domestic/international travel.

Salary: $272,334 to $336,000/year
