In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for accurate and timely invoicing and posting of the motor vehicle sales into the system with direct supervision. Do the right thing, every time.What You Will GainCompetitive benefits including health insurance, paid holidays, and PTO (paid time off)Continuing education to provide you the opportunity to develop your full potential and be a true business partnerAccess to an expansive network of mentors and networking opportunitiesTop quality technology to assist in your daily responsibilities to allow for more efficiencies to deliver outstanding customer serviceResponsibilitiesBilling & InvoicingReview and process Daily Vehicle Invoicing with a high level of accuracy and timelinessProduce sales invoices, Proforma Invoices, and quotations in an accurate and timely mannerReconcile Customer Purchase Orders to Internal Sales DocumentsReview applicable fees, including sales tax, DMV fees, and other transaction-related chargesVerify delivery statuses and confirm alignment with customer billing recordsResolve complex vehicle sales situations with minimal supervisionAccounting & Journal EntriesReview and post Daily Journal Entries for Vehicle SalesProcess accruals for pending costs in accordance with accounting standardsApply Finance Points revenue recognition principles accuratelyMaintain strong working knowledge of COGS, Gross Profit, and Gross Margin conceptsAnalysis & ReportingPerform Vehicle Costing Analysis and ReviewConduct Vehicle Profit Analysis review and variance comparisonProvide billing reports and financial summaries to managementMonitor Aging and Accounts Receivable reports; follow up on outstanding itemsProvide general accounting support as needed, including audit preparationCross-Functional CoordinationRespond promptly to inquiries from Sales Representatives and the Service DepartmentFollow up on pending billing items and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all sales-related departmentsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of accounting experience, or AA/AS degree in Accounting or FinanceTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of General Accounting Concepts and double-entry accountingStrong understanding of the Accounting Billing Cycle and sales cycle componentsStrong understanding of sales/use tax computations for vehicle invoicingStrong understanding of sales/COGS accounting journal entriesStrong understanding of all aspects of vehicle invoicing, including trades, valuations, payoffs, and finance optionsFamiliar with basic costing principles and concepts of COGS, Gross Profit, and Gross MarginFamiliar with Aging and Accounts Receivable ReportsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelProficient in computerized accounting packages, spreadsheets, word processors, and emailTyping speed of 65 WPM; proficient with 10-keyCompetencies & Soft SkillsProfessional, punctual, and reliableExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal, listening, and written communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressureStrong time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlinesAbility to resolve complex vehicle sales situations with minimal instructionAbility to respond to department inquiries in a timely and professional mannerProductivity level must be maintained in accordance with department standardsPhysical RequirementsWork is performed in a professional office environmentMust be able to sit for extended periods and navigate stairs as neededRequires good manual dexterity for keyboard and 10-key operation*Company retains the sole discretion to change the duties of the position at any time.Pay Range19-30
