Vehicle Process AssociateSWJ Technology specializes in providing engineering, planning, and project management services across various industries. We are currently seeking a Vehicle Process Associate for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This position is based in Greer, SC and requires onsite presence. If you're eager to grow your career and make a meaningful impact on exciting projects, we look forward to your application.PURPOSE: This role is responsible for processing and preparing vehicles for distribution to the dealer network. This role includes accessory installation, vehicle movement, quality inspections, inventory scanning, and basic system processing. The position combines hands-on automotive work with repetitive computer-based tasks in internal systems. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with approximately 25% of the shift spent outside in varied weather conditions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures vehicles are scanned accurately into inventoryPerforms QC1, PD1, and vehicle preparation processesSupports inbound and outbound vehicle movements following FIFO proceduresInstalls vehicle accessories and parts using hand tools and provided equipmentEnsures work tools are properly assigned, tracked, and accounted forConducts visual inspections of vehicles and parts for quality defectsEnsure defective or unused parts are properly scrapped or recycledUtilizes internal systems to process vehicle service orders and vehicle movementsUses handheld scanners to update and track vehicle locationsServes as quality contact for any defects identified on parts or vehiclesAssists with accessory installation, vehicle movements, and inventory scanning as neededPerforms daily problem-solving while adhering to established work instructionsEnsures all deadlines and productivity targets are metFollows 5S methodology and safety standards and principlesApplies standard work principles and structured problem-solving methodsPerforms other duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED requiredAdditional technical or vocational training in automotive, manufacturing, or related fields is a plusREQUIRED SKILLS:1+ year of experience in a production environmentValid driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission (preferred)Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requiredStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to follow structured processes and safety guidelinesAbility to meet physical job demandsPREFERED SKILLS1+ year of vehicle-related experience1+ year of experience with MS Office applicationsExperience in automotive production or processing environmentExperience with inventory or vehicle management systemsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE :Location: Greer, SCWork Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:40 PMOvertime: as requiredBreak times:08:00 AM – 08:10 AM10:00 AM – 10:10 AM12:00 PM – 12:40 PMAssignment Start: ASAPDISCLAIMER: This job description is a high-level overview of general expectations of this position.
