Role Overview
Keyhorse Capital — the venture capital initiative of Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation (KSTC) — is hiring a Venture Capital Analyst to support its early-stage investment activity in Kentucky-based startups. The role is based in Kentucky, with a preference for candidates in Louisville, Lexington, or Northern Kentucky.
Key Responsibilities
Screen and evaluate inbound investment opportunities
Conduct research and financial analysis on prospective portfolio companies
Build and maintain financial models supporting investment decisions
Draft investment memos for the deal team
Manage and maintain data hygiene in the firm's deal-pipeline tracking systems
Network within Kentucky's startup and entrepreneurial community to support deal sourcing
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in venture capital or finance
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling
Comfort working with databases and Google Workspace tools
Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in business or a related field
Compensation
Salary range:
$70,000–$90,000 per year, with competitive benefits.
