Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly qualified and motivated mid-level associate to join its Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies group in Boston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate and transactional matters, particularly in venture and growth financings, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Duties
Advise on sophisticated corporate and transactional matters.
Represent companies and investors in venture and growth equity transactions.
Draft and negotiate NVCA-based and bespoke financing documents.
Advise on governance and capitalization matters.
Collaborate with M&A, IP, tax, and regulatory teams on complex transactions.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a law firm or similar environment.
Experience with emerging growth companies and venture capital.
Strong drafting skills and sound business judgment.
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
Skills
Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
