Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly qualified and motivated mid-level associate to join its Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies group in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate and transactional matters, particularly with emerging growth companies and venture capital.
Duties
Advise on venture and growth financings, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Draft and negotiate NVCA-based and bespoke financing documents.
Collaborate with M&A, IP, tax, and regulatory teams on complex transactions.
Represent companies and investors in venture and growth equity transactions.
Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in corporate and transactional matters.
Experience with emerging growth companies and venture capital.
Strong drafting skills and sound business judgment.
Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
Skills
Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
