Healthworx is building a portfolio of investments and strategic partnerships with forward-thinking organizations at the intersection of traditional healthcare payer and the innovative health startup space.The Venture Capital Senior Associate will play a key role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, executing on investment theses, and supporting portfolio companies.Key Responsibilities:- Build long-term relationships with entrepreneurs to ensure Healthworx is top of mind through company growth- Engage with potential fund investments and maintain a network of service providers, investors, and ecosystem players- Manage pipeline and evaluate new investment opportunities- Support deal execution across all stages from sourcing to closing- Assist portfolio companies with strategic initiatives and operational support- Promote the Healthworx brand through publications and thought leadership- Share insights across CareFirst and the startup ecosystemThe ideal candidate brings experience working at the intersection of startups and healthcare institutions, with the ability to balance opportunities and challenges between innovation and institutional healthcare. This role is hybrid-based in Washington, DC.
