Job description

Role Overview

Use your VA claims expertise to help assess and improve AI-generated guidance on veterans benefits. You will review whether questions reflect the real concerns of veterans and their families, define what accurate and complete answers should include, and identify errors, omissions, or outdated information. AI experience is not required, accuracy and practical domain knowledge are central to this work.

Key Responsibilities

Review sample veterans benefits questions and flag questions that do not reflect how veterans or family members typically ask for help.

Create evaluation rubrics for accurate, complete guidance on service-connected disability compensation, including claim filing and required evidence.

Develop coverage for dependents and survivor benefits, including DIC and CHAMPVA, as well as appeals and decision reviews.

Evaluate AI-generated responses against established rubrics and identify inaccuracies, missing information, and outdated guidance.

Provide clear written feedback to the project team while working asynchronously.

Qualifications

Current VA accreditation, such as VSO representative, County Veterans Service Officer, accredited claims agent, or a similar accredited role.

At least 1 year of experience preparing and filing VA claims for veterans or their families.

Working knowledge of service-connected disability compensation, dependents and survivor benefits, and VA appeals.

Clear, precise written communication.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with military records, including DD-214 forms.

Experience creating guides, checklists, or training materials.

Experience serving a diverse range of veterans and families, including rural and non-English-speaking clients.

Remote, independent contractor engagement.

U.S.-based candidates only.

Short-term project requiring 20 to 30 hours per week.

Ability to begin quickly is required.
