Veterinarian

Associate Veterinarian opportunity in Franklin, NC with compensation up to $140,000. Join a respected small-animal team known for compassionate care, strong support, and a collaborative culture.

This AAHA-accredited small-animal practice delivers high-quality general medicine with a calm, client-centered approach and an emphasis on continuity of care. The clinical team includes experienced veterinarians supported by credentialed technicians and dedicated client service professionals. Doctors enjoy medical autonomy within a highly cooperative environment, with mentorship available for those who want to grow skills or refine their surgical workflow.
In-house diagnostics, including radiography and a clinical laboratory for routine bloodwork
Dedicated surgical suite for routine soft-tissue procedures with standard anesthesia and monitoring
Typical schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week; no on-call, overnight, or urgent care
Patient flow designed for quality time: around 20-minute appointments; approximately 16 appointments per doctor on a typical day
Strong support structure: approximately 2:1 support-to-doctor ratio
Periodic visiting surgical support available for advanced orthopedic cases

The Role
Deliver high-quality preventive care and general medicine for small animals
Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries; manage anesthesia and analgesia with an experienced support team
Utilize in-house radiography and clinical lab testing for timely diagnostics
Communicate clearly with clients, provide education, and build lasting relationships
Maintain accurate medical records and uphold AAHA-aligned standards and protocols
Collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure continuity of care
Typical clinical rhythm includes a balanced mix of wellness, sick visits, and surgery within a four-day week
Requirements
DVM/VMD or equivalent from an accredited institution
License to practice (or eligibility) in North Carolina and DEA registration
Authorization to work in the United States
Experience in small-animal general practice and routine soft-tissue surgery
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach
