Veterinarian Medical Director

Position Overview: A small‑animal practice in Manchester, CT is seeking a Medical Director to provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance while maintaining high standards of patient care. This role offers a $50,000 signing bonus and the opportunity to shape the culture, growth, and vision of the hospital.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Active state veterinary license in good standing
Active or eligible DEA license
Strong communication skills, leadership experience, and a positive, team‑oriented approach
About the Hospital: This established general practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and sick exams, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics. The hospital fosters a supportive, growth‑focused environment and serves Manchester and surrounding communities.
Schedule: Monday‑Thursday, 8:30 AM‑6:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM‑5:00 PM
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the veterinary team to achieve medical excellence
Collaborate with practice managers and leadership to implement strategies and improvements
Support staff development and foster a positive, high‑performing culture
Ensure exceptional patient care and client satisfaction
Compensation: Competitive base salary with production opportunities and no negative accrual. Annual full‑time compensation typically starts at $160,000, depending on experience and credentials, plus a Medical Director stipend.
