Job description
Looking for a practice where you can grow, feel supported, and truly enjoy coming to work? Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital is searching for a compassionate veterinarian to join our welcoming team in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Whether you're an experienced DVM or a new graduate looking for exceptional mentorship, we'd love to meet you!
Why You'll Love Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital
Since opening our doors, Polo Springs has been committed to providing exceptional medical care while creating a warm, low-stress experience for both pets and their families. Our beautiful standalone hospital features a stunning cathedral-style lobby, abundant natural light, and a glass-enclosed surgical suite that clients can view from the reception area...reflecting our commitment to transparency and client trust.
Our doctors enjoy practicing quality medicine with access to excellent equipment, including:
Digital radiography and digital dental radiography
Ultrasound
Tonopen
Glucometer
Upgraded IDEXX diagnostics (ProCyte One, Catalyst One, and Sedivue)
Paper-light workflow using Cornerstone and PetDesk communications
We are a 100% small animal practice (with a small percentage of exotics) and pride ourselves on providing individualized patient care with manageable appointment times. Doctors typically see about 7–10 patients per day, with 30-minute wellness and sick appointments and extended one-hour appointments for more complex cases.
Practice Exceptional Medicine
One of the things that makes Polo Springs unique is our commitment to advanced patient care. We partner with a local board-certified surgeon who performs advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures right in our hospital, allowing clients to avoid traveling to specialty centers. We also encourage owners to stay with their pets before and after surgery whenever possible to help reduce stress and create a more positive experience.
A Team That Invests in You
Our collaborative culture is built on communication, kindness, and longevity. Many of our team members have spent decades at Polo Springs, creating a supportive environment where everyone enjoys helping one another succeed. We're proud to be AAHA Accredited, actively involved in our community, and passionate about giving back through partnerships with local rescue organizations and charitable initiatives.
New graduates are encouraged to apply! Our experienced leadership includes a Certified Mentor who is dedicated to helping new veterinarians build confidence with personalized training, hands‑on guidance, and the time needed to develop their skills.
Work-Life Balance
We're hiring for a part‑time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week and are happy to consider experienced veterinarians or new graduates alike. Best of all, there are no after‑hours or on‑call responsibilities, thanks to multiple nearby emergency and specialty hospitals.
Live Where Others Vacation
Located at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs offers more than 300 days of sunshine each year and endless opportunities for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and outdoor adventure. Known as "Olympic City USA", it's the perfect place to build both your career and your lifestyle.
If you're looking for a supportive team, outstanding mentorship, quality medicine, and a practice where your contributions truly matter, we'd love to welcome you to Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital
