The Role
Provide operational leadership across two small-animal hospitals in the Ossining area, building high-performing, client-focused teams
Partner closely with veterinarians and department leads to uphold clinical quality, client service, and a culture of accountability
Recruit, onboard, and train support staff; manage scheduling, timekeeping, and labor goals
Coach teams through regular feedback and performance reviews; resolve employee relations issues; champion safety and compliance
Oversee budgeting, P&L insights, purchasing, vendor relations, and facility maintenance
Manage inventory controls, billing accuracy, charge capture, daily reconciliation, and local accounting processes
Track KPIs, streamline workflows, and implement SOPs to improve consistency across sites
Support timely, empathetic client issue resolution and contribute to community outreach and marketing initiatives
Requirements
License to practice in New York
Eligibility to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum five years of office or operations management, including at least two years of supervisory experience; veterinary or medical setting preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice-management software
Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and planning skills
Flexibility to work some weekends or holidays as needed
Comfortable working around animals and veterinary materials; able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for portions of the day
