About the Role
An established specialty and referral hospital in Wilder, Kentucky is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Internist to join its collaborative team.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage complex small animal internal medicine cases
Conduct comprehensive consultations and develop individualised treatment plans
Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic investigations
Utilise ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging as clinically appropriate
Perform endoscopic and minimally invasive diagnostic procedures where required
Manage patients with acute, chronic, and multisystem disease
Collaborate with other veterinarians on complex and referred cases
Communicate diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment recommendations clearly with clients and referring veterinarians
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
Support the clinical development of veterinary colleagues and technical team members
Participate in continuing education and knowledge sharing
Maintain high standards of patient care and client service
Candidate Profile
Applicants must be board-certified or residency-trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine .
Candidates should also hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and be licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practise veterinary medicine in Kentucky .
Any additional professional registrations or controlled-substance credentials required for the role should be held or obtainable following appointment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and a collaborative approach to complex case management.
