VCA Chicago North Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor !

Compensation: $26 - 30/hr, based on experience, skill set, and credentials

Schedule: Full-time, 5 x 8-hour shifts

We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician Supervisor who is ready to bring their clinical experience and leadership skills to a team that values knowledge, collaboration, and continued growth.

In this role, you’ll be an important partner to hospital leadership and the medical team. You’ll help guide our veterinary technicians and assistants, support day-to-day workflow, and create an environment where team members can learn, grow, and do their best work.

What You’ll Do

Along with providing hands-on veterinary technician care, you will:

Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and support to our Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant teams

Help develop team members through coaching, training, and ongoing feedback

Partner with hospital leadership to support staffing, scheduling, and daily hospital workflow

Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the team

Assist with onboarding and training new team members

Help foster strong communication and collaboration across the hospital

Support consistent implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Oversee appropriate handling and documentation of controlled substances

Identify opportunities to improve patient care, workflow, and team efficiency

Help create a positive, supportive environment where team members feel empowered to grow
