The company is publicly traded on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen (OMX: ALKB) with global headquarters in Horsholm, Denmark and US Offices around the country.We are currently seeking a Full-Time Vial Packaging Operator to join our team in Port Washington, NY.The ideal Vial Packaging Operator will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multitask and be able to have keen attention to detail.Primary Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities for this position include:Inspection/Labeling of Allergenic Extracts as per SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)Traying of all Allergenic Extracts after inspection and labeling is completed and ready for Quality Assurance releaseCross trained into Packaging Operator duties to assist as needed in packaging of tablets & PRE-PEN® Plus KitsUse of the following SAP functions: COR2 Release of Process Orders, MIGO Goods Movement, COR6N Single Screen Entry of Confirmations, MB90 Output Processing for Mat. Documents, MB51 Material Doc. List, MMBE Stock Overview and QGA3 Print inspection resultsAssure efficient workflow of productsMust work together as a team to achieve department goals set by Vial Packaging Supervisor & Packaging Manager.Required to attend periodic cGMP/SOP training sessions as well as company meetingsMust interact with Vial Packaging Group Leader & Vial Packaging Supervisor for efficiency of product/process flow within departmentIndividual must be able to accomplish each assignment with acceptable performanceMust conduct themselves in a manner according to ALK's employee handbookMust conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with SOP's and cGMP'sThorough knowledge of all Packaging Department SOP'sOther duties may be assignedSkills and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, no experience necessaryIndividual must be able to accomplish each assignment with acceptable performanceOccasional need for some lifting of trays less than 20 poundsAbility to follow detailed instructions effectivelyAbility to perform all area tasks with little direct supervisionTime management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities to meet departmental goalsWell-developed organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsExcellent math aptitudeThe ability to read/write English is requiredBasic Computer SkillsAt ALK, we believe in providing an environment and culture in which our people can thrive, develop, and advance.
