Overview

We are seeking a social media creative leader to help our client find its authentic place and purpose in the social sphere. This is a role for a person who lives and breathes social and has helped major brands transform their approach through breakthrough content across platforms. Someone who is curious and takes the time to educate themselves on the latest creative techniques and formats. Who can even break down the latest celeb beef; explain the backstory of every meme; and might even be a content creator themselves.

Your portfolio reads like an epic FYP. You’ve helped clients become famous in the feed. You can chat it up with CMOs like it’s NBD.

As Vice President Director, Social Creative , you will help scale and lead a dynamic team of content creators and social-first talent. We’re seeking a leader skilled at turning insights into meaningful ideas, deeply attuned to niche subcommunities, quick to recognize cultural trends, and immersed in the conversations(comment sections) shaping emerging social platforms.

In short, we’re looking for an out-of-the-box creative leader prized to break the internet and trades.

Responsibilities

Develop social-first creative work that earns attention, drives conversation, and delivers measurable business impact

Partner with a robust social strategy and intelligence team to turn cultural signals, audience data, and trend velocity into breakthrough creative

Lead culturally literate storytelling rooted in subcommunities, comment sections, and creator culture

Push brands to show up with purpose, not just presence

Stay ahead of algorithm shifts, platform updates, and emerging creator behaviors

Challenge traditional campaign models - thinking in moments, series, drops, and community-driven formats

Manage, mentor, and help grow a content creation and social-first creative team

Lead teams’ conceptual and strategic thinking across multiple platforms

Build relationships with agency capabilities including strategy, media, data and analytics and tech

Appreciate and advocate for craft across capabilities, including production and tech

Build trust with clients, understanding their business to find opportunities

Recruit and retain creative talent, building a team with a breadth and depth of relevant skills

Work with HR and Creative Operations to manage direct reports’ daily workload and career development

Help drive our creative culture both inside and outside of the agency

Qualifications

Four-year degree and 5-7 years of experience as a creative director, with specific expertise in social media creative

You have managed and scaled teams of creatives with hybrid expertise from art directors, copywriters, editors to makers and creators.

You're a pet lover and have experience working with animals.

You have a clear POV on what makes for standout creative in the social feed that you could confidently share with Fortune 500 CMOs

You’re excited and inspired by the world of social media - the first to share among colleagues and friends the latest trends, effects, tracks, etc. on TikTok

You’re obsessed with internet culture, the latest memes and trends, online subcultures and communities

You’re a storyteller who can create captivating insights that range from educational to aspirational and everything in between

Have a skillset for and are interested in content creation on social. You have a hands-on, get it done, make cool sh*t mentality

You have vast experience working with creators and influencers

Collaborative and a team player

You have a social-centric portfolio
