Job description

As we prepare for the next chapter in our growth story, we are seeking a Vice President of Finance to play a pivotal role in driving our financial strategy and supporting the company’s ambitious growth trajectory.

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Finance will oversee the Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit departments. This position will require a leader who can align financial strategy with organizational goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, service, and continuous improvement. By building on the strong foundation in place, this leader will help the company advance its vision for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s aggressive growth objectives.

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit departments.

Lead financial planning and analysis.

Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning, working in concert with the executive and leadership teams.

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Implement and oversee policies, processes, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and growth initiatives.

Partner with operations to identify opportunities to enhance company profitability through analysis, strategy, and process improvements.

Foster a sales-driven mindset by aligning all departments to support sales efforts while maintaining financial discipline and ensuring proper procedures are followed.

Mentor and develop the leadership team within each department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Embrace and model a servant leadership approach, building a culture within the department that values service, partnership, and collaboration.

Drive efficiency improvements across all financial functions.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all financial matters.

Foster collaboration and partnerships across all business segments to support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, MBA is preferred.

Experience:

15–20 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, with at least 10 years in an executive leadership role.

Proven track record in high-growth organizations, preferably within the distribution industry.

Experience in management and leadership of international business units and transactions.

Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to align departmental performance with organizational goals and foster a collaborative, service-driven culture.

Experience leading diverse, multi-functional teams with a focus on engagement, mentorship, and partnership.

A servant leadership approach, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and elevate team performance.

Skills:

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Expertise in financial systems, reporting tools, financial/credit reporting and data-driven decision-making.
