About the company
Our client is a high-growth business services platform backed by a leading private equity firm. Following a period of strong organic growth and acquisitions, the business is building out its finance function and is hiring a VP of FP&A to lead planning, performance management and decision support across the group.
The role
Reporting to the CFO, you will own the FP&A function and act as a strategic partner to the executive team and the PE sponsor. This is a high-impact role for someone who can turn numbers into insight and help drive the value creation plan.
Key responsibilities
Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning process
Build and own the group’s financial model, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
Deliver monthly management reporting, KPI dashboards and variance analysis
Prepare board and PE sponsor materials, including lender and covenant reporting
Partner with operational leaders on pricing, margin, labour productivity and cost initiatives
Support M&A activity with acquisition models, synergy tracking and integration of acquired businesses into reporting
Track progress against the value creation plan and highlight risks and opportunities early
Build, lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team
Improve systems, data and processes to deliver faster, more reliable insight
About you
(10+) years’ progressive finance experience, including several years leading FP&A
Experience in a private equity-backed environment, ideally through a buy-and-build strategy
Strong background in business services or another multi-site, people-driven service business
Advanced financial modelling skills and a commercial, solutions-focused mindset
Confident presenting to boards, investors and senior leadership
Experience implementing or improving FP&A systems (e.g. Adaptive, Anaplan, Planful, Power BI)
A hands-on leader who can build processes and develop a team in a fast-paced setting
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or MBA preferred
