Job DescriptionWe’re seeking an experienced investment professional to join a global insurance asset management platform, working directly with regional investment leadership on portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and transaction support.
\ NThis role sits at the intersection of portfolio construction, capital markets, and M&A, with responsibility for shaping investment strategy across a multi-billion-dollar, multi-region platform

This is a mostly remote role, only a few days in office per month in midtown Manhattan for specific meetings
\ N
TheJob
\ NAs a VP, Investments, youwill partner closely with senior leadership to:
\ N Oversee and optimize regional investment portfolios within a regulated insurance framework
\ N Support M&A activity through portfolio construction and yield analysis
\ N Develop strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations
\ N Generate and evaluate new investment ideas across asset class
\ N
What You’ll Do
\ N Portfolio Construction & M&A Support
\ N Analyze target portfolios in acquisition scenarios, including existing holdings and constraints
\ N Recommend portfolio repositioning strategies aligned with liability profiles
\ N Develop yield projections and investment assumptions to support deal pricing
\ N Partner cross-functionally to incorporate regulatory, tax, and structural considerations
\ N Strategic Asset Allocation & ALM
\ N Develop and maintain strategic asset allocation frameworks
\ N Incorporate inputs fromactuarial, treasury, capital planning, and market conditions
\ N Align portfolio construction with liability profiles and capital considerations
\ N Evaluate relative valueacross asset classes and investment strategies
\ N InvestmentStrategy & Idea Generation
\ N Assess market opportunities and propose strategic and tactical allocation shifts
\ N Develop investment proposals for internal committees and senior stakeholders
\ N Collaborate across functions (legal, tax, regulatory, actuarial, treasury) to implement strategies
\ N Manager Oversight & Due Diligence
\ N Manage relationships with external managers across fixed income and specialty asset classes
\ N Evaluate new managers, co-investments, and strategies
\ N Monitor performance andensure alignment with portfolio objectives
\ N AdditionalResponsibilities
\ N Prepare materialsfor Investment Committees and Board-level discussions
\ N Monitor portfolio compliance with internal and regulatory constraints
\ N Oversee liquidity and cash deployment to minimize drag
\ N Support income forecasting, budgeting, and performance attribution
\ N
Qualified candidates must have 8+ years of experience in fixed income portfolio construction and asset allocation, working with outside managers
\ N
Base salary185k-220k DOE Plus competitive bonus/LTI and excellent benefits
