Vice President of Operations – Commercial Electrical Construction – Florida
Gryphon Oakwood is partnering with a leading electrical contractor to identify an experienced Vice President of Operations to provide executive leadership across its Florida operations. This individual will hold responsibility for operational performance, financial results, project execution, and continued growth across the region, while developing the leadership teams required to support long-term expansion.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction executive with strong P&L ownership and a proven ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and scale a growing business.
Responsibilities:
Provide executive leadership across electrical construction operations throughout Florida
Hold full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and overall financial performance
Lead and develop senior operational and project leadership teams
Drive consistency and operational excellence across project execution, controls, processes, and reporting
Oversee portfolio performance to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and to the highest standards
Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute regional growth strategies
Strengthen key client relationships while supporting business development and market expansion
Lead workforce planning, succession development, and organizational growth
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards
Qualifications:
15+ years of progressive leadership experience within electrical construction or a closely related construction environment
Proven experience leading large-scale operations, regions, divisions, or multiple business units
Strong P&L ownership with responsibility for significant construction revenue
Demonstrated success leading and developing senior operational and project leaders
Strong understanding of electrical construction project delivery, financial controls, forecasting, and operational performance
Track record of improving profitability, scaling operations, and supporting sustainable business growth
Commercial, industrial, and/or mission-critical project experience preferred
